Rocky River Ag Services opened its doors in May 1994 in a small workshop on the main street of Crystal Brook, employing just a handful of staff. Service Technician Peter Cox carried out the pre-delivery of the very first tractor sold by the business in the narrow laneway behind the shop
As the business quickly expanded, a larger premise was secured on Wongabirrie Road, formerly the old Department of Transport workshop.
Continued growth created the need for even more space, and construction of a new showroom began in May 2012. On 5 November 2012, the Sales, Parts, and Administration teams officially moved into the new building. The previous showroom was then converted entirely into workshop space, allowing the Service Department to undertake repairs and servicing under cover. A dedicated assembly area was also established for the pre-delivery, assembly, and repair of seeding and tillage equipment
Rob Dingle served as the original Dealer Principal from the company’s beginning until his retirement in June 2020. Today, the business is led by Dealer Principal Lynton Smart, who originally joined Rocky River Ag as a Service Technician before moving into Sales and later taking on the leadership role.
Rocky River Ag Services has built a strong reputation within the agricultural industry and was proud to be named Case IH Dealer of the Year in 2009 — an outstanding achievement for a single-branch dealership. The business was also recognised as Flexi-Coil Dealer of the Year in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015, before securing consecutive wins again in 2024 and 2025. Safe to say, we certainly know our Flexi-Coils!
